Inge Criss age 71 of Kempner, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church of Lampasas with Rev. Jenna Heart officiating. Burial will follow at the Gatesville Masonic Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 14th at Scott’s Funeral Home of Copperas Cove.
Inge was born on January 2, 1944, near Weiden, Bavaria, in west Germany and she came to this country in 1964. She married Carl Keith Criss on May 18, 1984. For many years, she was a civil service employee at Carl Darnall Army Community Hospital. She was also employed for a few years in the transportation division of DOL. Inge was a gregarious and outgoing person, who loved to entertain her many friends with parties in her home. One of her passions in recent years was caring for llamas that had been rescued from unfortunate circumstances. There were currently ten in her care. She also befriended dogs in need of her love and care. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lampasas and the Copperas Cove Chapter #1070 of the Order of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband, Carl Keith Criss of Kempner; stepdaughters, Cindy Criss, Beth Johnson, Erica Martin; grandchildren, Hunter Puszkiewicz, Shane Balzen, Landry Martin, Hailey Bull, Katlyn Bull, Shelbie Bull, Emma Bull, Garrett Martin. She is also survived by a large extended family in Germany.
She was preceded in death by a son, William P. Criss in 1980.
Memorials may be made to the Copperas Cove Chapter #1070 of the Order of Eastern Star.
