Erika Temple, a longtime resident of Copperas Cove, was called home by our LORD on January 26, 2017. She was 77 years old and died in Metroplex Hospital.
Born June 9, 1939 in Germany where she met her husband and married him July 9, 1959. He was a soldier in the Army which sent them to Ft. Hood in 1965. Erika worked several jobs in the retail industry and had a degree in business management. She was always busy and doing something. Her greatest pleasure was when the family got together and enjoyed each other’s company.
Erika spent her entire life raising children, grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. She taught each of them to be respectful, loving, and kind to others. She led by example and was looked upon with profound love and respect.
She was preceded in death by her husband Mallie “Nick” Temple and only son, Mike Temple. Surviving loved ones are daughters, Elizabeth Trevino and husband Raymond Trevino, Sharon Ellsworth, son in law Alvin Ellsworth, granddaughters, Erika Temple and Shanna and Shelby Ellsworth, great granddaughter Calla, and soon to be born great grandson Titus.
