Annie Mae Jackson
In Loving Memory of Annie Mae Jackson:
Born: West Point Mississippi: April 7, 1924: Died Dec. 20, 2014 in Hill Country Nursing Home,
in Copperas Cove.
Memorial will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 908 Industrial Ave. in Copperas Cove, on Jan. 3, 2015 at 4 pm.
Annie, left Mississippi in 1948 for a new life in New York City. There she meet a young man by the name of Ricardo A. Jackson. They were married on August 27, 1950. They lived their lives together in New York until Ricardo, retired from Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in 1989.
After his retirement, Ricardo went back to his home in St. Croix V.I., in 1991 with his bride of 41 yrs. on his arm. There they stayed until March 17, 2009 when Ricardo preceded Annie in death after 60 yrs of marriage.
Annie stayed in St. Croix one year after her husband’s death. She had her granddaughter, Sherray Jackson and two grandsons. After that year she returned to New York City where she lived with her sister Frances and son, Ricardo Jr.
As her health continued to decline, it was decided that she would go to Texas and be with her daughter Pearlie, granddaughter Yolanda and great-grandson Famous.
Annie was preceded in death by her husband Ricardo, 2 sons, Jimmy and Larkin Lurray Jackson.
She is survived by one daughter, Pearlie, 2 sons, Ricardo Jr. and Bobby. 3 granddaughters, Yolanda, Melisha and Sherray and 3 great-grandsons, Famous, Demahri and Zjyaun. 3 grandsons, Tyrone and Adrian and Chveyn. 4 great granddaughters, Shalyse, Anlya, Asharay and Octavia. 1 sister Frances, 1 brother Thomas, 2 daughter-in laws, 2 step daughters, 1 brother-in-law, 1 sister-in-law. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Annie was devoted to her religion as a Baptist. Her daughter Pearlie Grays, was Baptizes as one of Jehovah’s Witness 1n 1989. Approx. 10 years later, Annie Mae Jackson joined her daughter and devoted her life to Jehovah and was Baptize as one of Jehovah Witness also. And so she remained until Her death.
