Bulldawg tennis, XC postseason begins

The Copperas Cove team tennis and cross country squads get their 2014 playoff seasons underway tomorrow. The cross country squads, led by Amber Boyd on the girls’ side and Christian Schaffer on the boys’ side, will travel to Killeen for the District 12-6A cross country meet. Boyd is coming off a first-place finish in the Battlin’ Badger Invitational and led the girls to a second-place finish heading into the district showdown. The boys are coming off a sixth-place finish in Lampasas but they were without their top three runners, so they expect to have a better outing tomorrow. Should the Dawgs or Lady Dawgs advance, they will compete in the Region II Cross Country Meet at UT Arlington on Oct. 31 through Nov. 1st.
