The matchup that area high school football fans has been waiting for has finally arrived. One of the most exciting games of the 2013 district schedule will likely be for all the marbles when the undefeated No. 13 Midway Panthers host the undefeated in District 12-6A Copperas Cove Bulldawgs tonight in Waco. “This is a great opportunity for us,” said Copperas Cove head football coach Jack Welch. “We are playing a playoff team, three games before the end of the season so you be able to see exactly where we are and what we’ve got to do.” In last year’s matchup, the Bulldawgs stormed back from a 32-10 first-half deficit to force overtime after outscoring Midway 29-7 in the second half but a 29-yard field goal by Midway in the extra period gave the Bulldawgs their second district
loss.
