Early voting ended on Tuesday for the Copperas Cove city council Place 2 runoff election, with election day set for Saturday, Dec. 14.
Fewer than 300 Copperas Cove voters cast ballots during the early voting time period, with a total of 220 voting in person and 74 mail-in ballots being received, making a total of 294 ballots submitted.
On election day, Saturday, Dec. 14, polls will be open 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
Polls are located at the Copperas Cove Early Voting Center, 508-B Cove Terrace.
Lampasas County voters may vote at the Copperas Cove early voting center.
Candidates are Victor Perry Hall II and Rita Hogan, who were part of a three-way race in the Nov. 5 election, along with George Duncan.
In the Nov. 5 race, Hogan received 4,532 votes and Hall received 2,635, with Duncan receiving 2,228. Hogan did not receive a 50 percent-plus-one majority vote in that race, so it was necessary for the council to declare a runoff election.
