Local veteran, business and nonprofit owner running in city council special election

John N. Valentine III is one of four candidates running for Place 6 on the Copperas Cove city council, to fill that vacant spot.
He and his wife and children are longtime residents of Copperas Cove. Valentine served 20 years in the U.S. Army with six deployments.
He is the CEO and Founder of Operation Phantom Support a 501C3 nonprofit located in Killeen and also owns Phantom Warrior Brewing Company the only Brewery in Killeen. He also operates Black Hawk Brewing Supply, a home brew shop, and has an online clothing brand called ArmySapper.com.
“I have been supporting and caring for this community since 2005 and will continue to support it,” said Valentine.
“My priorities for the city will be to help bring in more family orientated business to support our families in Cove, to also focus on the support of local businesses and entrepreneur in our city, to help improve the look and feel of Cove to make us what we should be, striving to be the best in Central Texas,” Valentine added. “I’m just one of you that wants to get involved and make some changes to better our city and the families living in it. I am not a politician – I am a citizen wanting better for our kids and our lives here in Cove, and I’m willing to put in the work to make that happen to the best of my abilities.”
