Small Business Saturday set for tomorrow

Tomorrow throughout Copperas Cove, small businesses will be celebrated as the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce and more than one dozen local businesses take part in Small Business Saturday, held annually the Saturday after Thanksgiving. 
The day kicks off at 8 a.m., with free swag bags available 
On pages 4 and 5 of today’s Copperas Cove Leader-Press, there is a map showing all the businesses participating in Small Business Saturday.
This year, passports will be distributed to shoppers, who can get stamps in their passports which should be returned to the chamber of commerce office, located at 204 E. Robertson Ave., by Dec. 1 to be entered into a drawing for prizes. 
Chick-fil-A might not be a “small” local business, but it is locally owned, and is offering a special discount card for shoppers who come by with their passport. 
TaLisa Porch, an independent MaryKay distributor, will have her products available inside Waffle Cone in Cove Terrace Shopping Center, as will several other vendors.
Frames & Things, also located in Cove Terrace Shopping Center, is offering discounts on custom framing and framed print purchases, with shoppers encouraged to stop by and put their names in for a $250 store gift certificate, with the drawing to take place on Dec. 19. 
Card My Yard Copperas Cove, locally owned, will be set up in Cactus Lilly Boutique, located at 1406 S. F.M. 116.
Two small businesses will be selling their products at the Copperas Cove Civic Center. 
Pure Skin Repair, owned by Catrina Jackson, sells a variety of balms and skin products. Jackson is offering a free character-inspired soap (a $10 value) with every purchase of at least $30.
Small Business Saturday is a a nationwide endeavor sponsored by American Express which encourages shoppers to “shop small.”
