The Copperas Cove Noon Exchange Club is hosting its annual Mayfest 5K Color Run on Saturday, May 22 at Ogletree Gap Park, with a start at 8 a.m.
After a hiatus in 2020, the event returns with the end goal in mind: raising funds for organizations which help prevent child abuse.
Color run registration is $30 online through Thursday, May 20, with T-shirts for registrants. Preregistration for the color run can be done online at https://runsignup.com/Race/TX/CopperasCove/NoonExchangeClubMayfest5KColo...
Same-day registration begins at 7 a.m. the day of the event.
This is a chip timed event, with awards given to the fastest runner in each age/gender group.
The club is also selling raffle tickets at $10 apiece for a chance to win one of several prizes to include a 50-inch smart TV, Apple Homepod Mini, Apple Watch, Bose Noise Canceling Headphones and a $100 Gift card. The drawing will take place during the 5K run and a winner’s board will be posted. Winners do not need to be present.

The Noon Exchange Club has helped fund organizations such as AWARE Central Texas, Hope Pregnancy Center, Communities in Schools, Cove House Emergency Homeless Shelter, as well as the Coryell County Rainbow Room, where children removed from their homes by Child Protective Services receive clothing, shoes, and other necessities.
