Cove stylist offers $5 back2school haircuts

Back to school is right around the corner and veteran owned Maria’s Beauty Salon is helping out with $5 haircuts for all students. The salon’s doors have been open in Copperas Cove since 2009, but the business itself has been in operation since 1995 in Colorado. Owner, Maria Oliveras has been cutting hair since the early 1980s, starting out in the army giving military cuts. “My Captain found out that I had a license so he commanded me to cut the hair for the guys in formation. He would send them to the training room to cut it off,” said Oliveras.
