Local HVAC contractor seeks nominations for recipient of new heating/air system

A local heating and air conditioning contractor is looking to find a deserving family this holiday season. 

Frank Ellis, who owns A.R.T. Heating & Air, said he usually gives away a heating/air conditioning system once a year. Sometimes, there are homeowners or other individuals going through a rough time and who could use the hand. He said he’s always done this but doesn’t say much about it.

“But then, my wife encouraged me to do this again, and this time, we should let people know what we’re going to do,” Ellis said. 

Ellis, a military veteran, opened his business about eight years ago. The longtime Covite is also retired from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, after working on the department’s HVAC for 23 years.

He brings his three decades of experience in the field to Copperas Cove, and he enjoys giving to the community, previously unsung. 

Ellis is now looking for a deserving homeowner to give a new heating/air conditioning system. 

There are several conditions with the giveaway by A.R.T. 

First, the homeowner must reside at the property where the new system will be installed. 

Second, the residence must be within the Copperas Cove city limits. 

Third, there must be an existing HVAC system that needs replacing – this is not for a new installation. 

Also, if there is any access to be made to remove or install the system, that would be at the homeowner’s expense. 

Ellis is asking for those who believe they deserve a new system, or whoever would like to nominate someone to receive a new system for their home, to write him a letter.

Letter must be postmarked by Jan. 15, 2020, and Ellis will select a recipient on Jan. 31, 2020.
