With the start of the 2019-2020 school year still more than one month away, the Copperas Cove Independent School District is seeking to fill more than 100 vacancies.
Open positions with the district include teaching positions, substitute cooks and cafeteria monitors, administrative secretaries and office clerks, as well as assistant principal at the high school, and more, according to the most recent list of vacancies on the district website.
CCISD is holding a job fair on Wednesday, July 10 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the district’s school board meeting room, located at the CCISD Administration building, located at 408 S. Main St.
Interested candidates should bring their resume, and can also apply ahead of time on CCISD’s employment portal on the district website at https://copperas.tedk12.com/hire/index.aspx.
Last week, the CCISD board of trustees approved a pay increase which bumped the starting salary for a teacher in the district to $47,500, which is $14,500 over the Texas state required starting salary of $33,000 annually.
In addition to the pay raise for educators, the board also approved an across-the-bard pay raise for other staff at 3 percent of midpoint.
