Ambassadors from the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce endured several hours in the heat of the July sun outside Walmart to ensure that the seniors of our community can remain cool during the summer months collecting fans and food to be distributed over the next few weeks. “We have been fortunate not to have the high temperatures and have a very pleasant summer so far,” Chamber president Betty Price said. “It won’t stay like this all summer and for our seniors who are on a fixed income and may not be able to get out and buy a fan this is one way we can help them keep cool.”
