Copperas Cove Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is looking to help make its residents’ Christmas a little brighter, by setting up an Angel Tree in its lobby.
On that tree are the Christmas wishes of the center’s 75 residents.
“Every tag has either a male or female resident along with a list of two or three things they asked for, for Christmas,” said Trae Cunningham, the center’s area director of marketing.
Those who are interested in “adopting” a resident for Christmas can stop by the center and sign up for one or more of the residents, as assigned by number.
The gifts are due by Monday, Dec. 17, and will be distributed to each resident during the center’s Christmas party, on Thursday, Dec. 20, at 2 p.m.
Along with the gifts, residents will be receiving cards from the Community Through Cards initiative, sponsored by Amy’s Attic Self Storage.
