Third worker dies from injuries after June 26 Coryell Memorial construction explosion

A third construction worker has succumbed to injuries received in the June 26 explosion at Coryell Memorial Hospital in Gatesville.
Gatesville Police patrol Lt. Donald Norman made the announcement via a press release on Monday afternoon.
“We are saddened to report the death of Wilber Dimas, age 30. Mr. Dimas was working at the construction site on the day of the explosion. He was ultimately transported to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas in Austin, where he passed away from his injuries on July 15, 2018, at 2:39 p.m.,” Norman stated.
Dimas had suffered burns on over 70 percent of his body.
Another worker, Filiberto Morales, age 36 of Round Rock, passed away from injuries on June 28 at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple
Michael Bruggman, 43, of Rogers, working as a subcontractor for Lochridge Priest on site, died during the explosion.
The hospital has had an expansion project under way since fall 2017.
