Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas announce new CEO

Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas recently announced the selection of Tiana Quick as the new Chief Executive Officer of the nonprofit youth development organization.
Founded in 2008, Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas provides enriching programs for youth who need us most to develop the qualities needed to become responsible citizens. Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas serve 12,400 youth per year, 2,700 per day, and operate 27 chartered sites throughout Killeen, Harker Heights, Copperas Cove, Gatesville, Lampasas, Georgetown, Falls County, and Waco.
Effective June 1, Tiana, the current Vice President of Operations for the Club, assumed her new role. Tiana will be responsible for managing the strategic direction of the organization and the operations of its seven community-level Boys & Girls Clubs. She succeeds Jon Charles who retires after having served Boys & Girls Clubs over a 47-year career.
Abdul Subhani, HR Committee Chair of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas Board of Directors, and six other board members from throughout the organization led a nationwide search from late 2017 into 2018 to identify Mr. Charles’s replacement.
“After narrowing down a pool of 265 applicants and interviewing several qualified leadership candidates, our committee came to the unanimous decision to select an individual from within our very own organization. We look forward to the future of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas under Tiana’s direction,” said Subhani.
Tiana has been with the Club since 2008. In her current capacity as Vice President of Operations, she has led organizational development, cultivated volunteer and donor relationships, increased and diversified revenue streams, coached and managed talent, and invested in local programs that positively impact the lives of youth in communities she has served.
Before joining the Boys & Girls Clubs, Tiana held senior-level positions in youth serving roles as she traveled the world with her husband who served in the Army. Previous positions include; directing private schools, teaching and coaching overseas in a DODEA School, and working for the Army Family Advocacy Program.
Tiana resides in Nolanville, Texas with her husband Jeremie, and has a 22 year old daughter, Atlanta.
