A tip from a “concerned citizen” launched an investigation of Great Massage, located at 2520 E. Bus. 190 Suite A and resulted in the arrest of two men and two women on Thursday afternoon.

According to a press release issued Friday morning by the Copperas Cove Police Department, the following were arrested: Shareef Raekwon Ali Barnett,  prostitution and resisting arrest; Kelvin Scott John, promotion of prostitution; Xiuyun Hu John, prostitution; and Shun Hong John, promotion of prostitution.

Members of the Copperas Cove Police Department, the Bell County Organized Crime Unit, the Coryell County Sheriff’s Office, the Texas Attorney General’s Office, along with Immigration and Custom Enforcement (ICE) served a search warrant at the business.

“Copperas Cove Police Department began an investigation after receiving a tip from a concerned citizen that prostitution was occurring at Great Massage. The investigation confirmed the information received,” stated Sgt. Kevin Miller with the Copperas Cove Police Department. “The investigation is ongoing and additional persons may be charged for their involvement in this operation.”

The four were transported to the Copperas Cove Police Department where they were booked. It has not been confirmed if there were any other individuals at the business when the warrant was served.

According to city permit records, Great Massage had received its certificate of occupancy in October 2017 and had been operating at the Business 190 location since that time.
