CenturyLink donates to Cove food pantry

CenturyLink employees in the Killeen- Fort Hood area donated food and cash from the recently completed 2014 CenturyLink Backpack Buddies Food Drive. The company held similar food drives in hundreds of company locations across the country, donating the funds to local food banks that can purchase food at a lower cost per pound than the average person could at a store, estimated on average to be six pounds of food per dollar given. Employees raised cash and collected food for food banks and shelters in Killeen, Copperas Cove and Nolanville.
