Cove hosts annual Summer Run to Fun

South Park in Copperas Cove was teeming with health-minded individuals and families on Saturday morning. More than 200 people ages six to 74 descended on South Park from as far away as Union City, New Jersey to compete in the annual Summer Run to Fun 5K race on Saturday. For some is was about getting out in an attempt to stay fit and for others it’s about fitness and showing support. “We come out to support our veterans, meet other members and come to get the word out to more veterans that may not know about us and their families,” said Renee Larson of the veterans support group Team Red, White and Blue.
