Tree trimmers butcher Cove man’s canopy

When Leland Dunlap and his family began building on their lot over 40 years ago they had a plethora of trees, so many that a dozer was required to clear the property on Kate Street. Saving two dozen trees in the back of the property as a shade canopy, he has landscaped and designed the backyard for comfort Midway through their pruning process, Wright Tree sServices and Nelson Co. paid a visit to his home to clear the branches around the multi-purpose pole that sits on an adjacent property. “They said they were supposed to cut back seven foot from the line. They aren’t trimmers, they are butchers. Some of these trees are a couple hundred years old,” said Dunlap. “
