Athletics best Lady Astros in battle of unbeatens

The 8U Athletics remain unbeaten at 3-0 after edging out the previously unbeaten Lady Astros 6-3 during Parks and Recreation league play on Saturday at the Copperas Cove City Park ball fields. At this stage, although winning is important and fun, it’s all about just teaching these young athletes how to play the game and how to play as a team. “I want them to have fun, learn how to be part of a team and learn the basics of softball,” said 8U Athletics head coach Rebecca Saunders.
