Author holds book signing to offer hope

Eva Piper, author of A Walk Through the Dark, spent Saturday afternoon at the Harker Heights Barnes & Noble to sign copies of her book. Piper is the wife of Don Piper, who in January 1989 was pronounced dead at the scene of an auto accident involving a semi. Don was dead for 90 minutes, but came back to life again. Piper faced a rough recovering, spending 105 days in the hospital, followed by 34 surgeries and two years of intense therapy.
