A&M-Central Texas announces new College of Education dean

The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents unanimously appointed Dr. Edward L. Hill as dean of the College of Education at Texas A&M University-Central Texas during their quarterly meeting.
“Dean Hill brings a wealth of experience with him to his position as Dean of the College of Education,” Provost Dr. Peg Gray-Vickrey said. “Dr. Hill is a dedicated educator and has outstanding leadership skills. He is passionate about improving educational quality for all students. I am delighted that he has joined the Texas A&M University-Central Texas team!”
As dean for the College of Education role, Hill will assume responsibility for providing leadership for a broad range of both academic and non-academic matters. The college dean serves as the chief academic officer for the college. Congruent with the university mission and core values, the college dean provides collaborative leadership on behalf of the college, maintains a collegial environment, and ensures that the college functions efficiently, effectively, and in accordance with A&M-Central Texas rules and standard administrative procedures and System regulations and policies. Hill will report directly to the Provost/Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs and is responsible for the academic, personnel, financial, and administrative affairs of the college.
