School zone enforcement now under way

The Copperas Cove Police Department would like to remind all motorists the enforcement of School Zone Laws has started again on Monday, as the 2016-2017 school year begins. There will be additional officers on duty working the morning and afternoon school zone areas.

 

Drivers should be aware of three things while in school zones to include

 

■ Speed Limits – An operator of a motor vehicle must decrease their speed during morning and afternoon hours, as designated in school zone areas marked by signs and/or flashing signals.
