AUSTIN - J.P. Urquidez had his future all mapped out. The four-star recruit from Copperas Cove committed to play football for the Bears of Baylor University - a Christian-based university in Waco. It seemed a perfect fit that aligned with his family values and desire to be amongst the best in the nation.

Urquidez’s dream turned into a nightmare when shocking revelations emerged about alleged sexual assaults and sunsequent cover-ups taking place at the university he pledged to give, not only his next four years to, but also his next 40 years as an alumnus.

Once news broke of the scandal, Urquidez quickly took to social media to announce his intentions to not enroll at Baylor.
