Dawgs finish 5th, 6th at State Meet

AUSTIN – Lighting and torrential rains forced a six-hour delay and set an ominous tone for the 2016 University Interscholastic League Track and Field Meet’s final day of competition on Saturday.

 

Just two events into the Class 1A and Class 4A running events, lighting illuminated the skies before they opened wide for six hours forcing the final 8 ½ events of 1A and 4A to be rolled into the night session to be contested along with Class 2A and Class 6A finals.

 

Though the meet schedule didn’t go according to plan, many of the results did.
