The Copperas Cove Independent School District board of trustees has a busy agenda for tonight’s meeting, with four consent agenda items to include current new hires along with campus professional contracts for the 2016-2017 school year, as well as selecting an auditing firm, discussing summer maintenance projects, implementing a new teacher mentoring program, purchasing two school buses, and awarding bids for campus roofing projects and repairing the high school parking lot.
Several out-of-state trips are on the agenda as well, to include sending up to six qualifying students and one advisor to the FCCLA trip on July 2-8 to San Diego, Cal. for the group’s national conference.
Another out-of-state trip, the Southeastern States Pupil Transportation Conference, is July 8-14 and will be held in Charleston, West Va., to be attended by the district’s director of transportation, Gary Elliott.
