Area residents had the chance to cap off a rain-filled week by learning about rainwater harvesting at a Thursday night workshop taught by Texas A&M Agrilife Extension’s water resources specialist, Dotty Woodson.
Woodson gives workshops like this throughout Texas, with about 45 attending the event held at the Copperas Cove Public Library.
The class, called “Rainwater Harvesting for the Homeowner”, was a hands-on workshop where participants had the chance to not only learn about the benefits of harvesting rainwater on their property, but how to properly store the water and how to set up a harvesting system.
