CCISD Students Honor Veterans

Williams/Ledger Elementary School in Copperas Cove honored veterans on Tuesday with their adopted military unit from Fort Hood, 1-82 Field Artillery Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, posting the school’s colors. With more than 1,000 people gathered around the flagpole, students donned red, white and blue hats they constructed from paper plates and cardstock. Students honored the veterans with several songs including Love in Any Language. The unit was treated to lunch with the students to share their experiences.
