Duran throws perfect game and is perfect from the plate in district home opener.

Copperas Cove junior Carlee Duran faced the minimum amount of batters during her four inning performance Tuesday night shutting out the Shoemaker Grey Wolves en route to a 17-0 perfect game in the District 8-5A home opener. Facing 12 batters, Duran struck out seven, throwing 44 pitches with 33 sailing through the strike zone and nine of 12 batters were given a first pitch strike. The defense of the Lady Dawgs recorded five groundouts to complete the 12 outs perfect game with Duran.
