City council set to meet tonight, executive session

The Copperas Cove city council is holding its first meeting for the month of November at 6 p.m. tonight, at the Copperas Cove Economic Development Corporation, located at 201 S. 1st St.

 

Several public safety action items will be up for approval by the council tonight. The fire department intends to apply for grants for firefighter training, and must have the council approval of those applications. Also, the fire department is asking for approval to purchase interoperability radio equipment and accessories, paid for by a Homeland Security grant.
