Dogs, owners don costumes in support of local animal shelter
By PAMELA GRANT
Halloween literally went to the dogs during the Howl-O-Ween celebration on Saturday.
Pre-Teen Miss Rabbit Fest Camryn Brown, aided by fellow members of the Rabbit Fest royalty and a host of other volunteers, proudly held a Howl-O-Ween celebration at the Copperas Cove City Park. Dog owners were invited to bring their beloved canines to the city park to participate in a dog walk and/or dog costume contest geared toward raising donations to help local animal shelters. Non-pet owners also were able to donate and participate in the event. Pet food, toys, items, and money will all go toward helping the City of Copperas Cove Animal Control Facility feed and care for the animals in their care.
