County 4-H clubs hold annual celebration
By CHUCK TAYLOR Cove Leader-Press The Coryell County 4-H clubsgathered together in Gatesville for their awards dinner last Thursday.Hundreds of youngsters and their families were on hand for a steak dinner and celebration for the year’s accomplishments. Dozens of awards were handed out as proud parents watched their young 4-H’ers come forward for recognition. The Coryell County 4-H club is jointly administered by Texas A & M and Coryell County and currently enjoys a membership of about 350 young people ranging in age from grades 3 through 12. Dues run $20 and include just about every interest that a student can dream of. Just a few of the learning activities include, Food Nutrition, Clothing Design, Photography, Science, Animal husbandry, Community Service, Music, Dance and Citizenship.
