Cove Leader-Press Copperas Cove seniors Lexi Perez and Mikayla Blount have shared many memories together in six years of playing together as members of the same volleyball squads. They have one more chance to team up and represent the Lady Dawgs volleyball program when they play in the Super Centex Fellowship of Christian Athletes Victory Bowl Volleyball Game at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at University High School. “I’m excited,” said Blount. “It’s a big opportunity and I think it’s a good way to end my senior year and still get to support my school as my going away thing.” Getting to finish her career representing and organization like the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) means a lot to Blount.
