Cove Animal shelter holds free adoption days

When Copperas Cove Animal Control Officer Ashley Osborn stood before the Copperas Cove city council last fall and pitched her idea of free animal adoption days at the animal shelter, she hoped it would help lower the number of animals impounded at the shelter. “I got the idea after we had the free adoption for animals with black fur,” said Osborn. She guessed that maybe six total would end up being adopted at the monthly free events.
