Cove sales tax revenues hop ahead for May

Copperas Cove will be receiving sales tax allocation for May 2015 in the amount of $441,145.83, which hopped up 7.93 percent from the $408,730.67 the city received in May 2014, according to the monthly report released Wednesday from the office of state comptroller Glenn Hegar. Total figures for 2015 show city sales tax revenues to be climbing at 4.31 percent for the year to $1,826,786.88, compared to a total of $1,751,187.33 at the same time last year.
