Bound for Bear Country

Cove Leader-Press GARLAND – Copperas Cove senior Justin Joe and sophomore Amber Boyd had one last attempt to earn one of four coveted spots advancing to the Region II-6ATrack and Field Meet at Baylor’s Hart-Patterson Track and Field Complex in Waco. After a nearly threehour weather delay and disappointing finishes for Joe in the 4x100-meter and 4x200- meter relays and Boyd in the 800-meter run, both athletes pushed their way through in their final attempts of the evening to advance during the District 11-6A and 12-6A Area Meet at Williams Stadium in Garland.
