County bids farewell to road and bridge administrator

After Tuesday, Allen Neel doesn’t have to jump when he hears the phone ring at any hour of the day or night, alerting him to an issue with one of the county’s 625 miles of roads and bridges.
Neel retired from his position as road and bridge administrator as of Tuesday, and the Coryell County Road and Bridge Department threw him a farewell fish fry on Tuesday.
