Springlike temperatures held on long enough for the southeast bypass and F.M. 2657 ribbon cutting ceremony to take place yesterday under sunny skies. The picturesque view from the Valley Bridge made a stunning backdrop as a lineup of city, county and state officials took turns speaking about the significance of the 5.2 miles of road, the culmination of decades of planning and cooperation.
Yesterday’s program also officially opened F.M. 2657 widening project.
