Kempner Water raises rates on customers

Central Texas residents have been able to breathe a sigh of relief while visiting the gas pumps during the recent nine-month dip at the pump to see gas prices less than two dollars a gallon. For 5,500 central Texas residents they will begin to feel the pinch again when they turn on the tap water, water the yard and flush the toilets as the Kempner Water Supply Corporation imposes a rate increase to both the minimum monthly bill and the water rate.
