County pledges to back veterans mental health grant application

The United Way of the Greater Fort Hood Area has submitted a proposal to the Texas Veterans Initiative in the hopes that it might receive as much as $500,000 in funding for programs to help local veterans dealing with mental health issues. On Monday, the Coryell County commissioners approved a resolution to give the county’s support for the proposal.
