Cove High football team obtains 100 percent passing rate through after-school tutoring

CCHS Bulldawg football player Rodney Slater with books in hand quietly ambles into the coaches’ meeting room on the high school campus. He signs his name in on the white board and marks the time of his arrival. The 11th grader is one of more than 200 athletes that participates in the P.A.S.S. Club, Partnership for Athletes’ Study Skills. Coach Tracy Ranes said the purpose of the program is to get everyone caught up in their academic classes by providing extra tutorials and motivation in the needed areas.
