Friday’s school cancellations didn’t stop the heated playoff race for Cove, so by game time, the roads were cleared enough to play ball. Cove had a lot to play for Friday. Coming into the game at 12-13, 3-5 in District 8-5A the players and coaches all knew they needed to win to keep their playoff hopes alive. Junior Rashard Odomes led the Dawgs on the court posting 24 points followed by Chance Smith with 16 points and Elijah Sobers 12 as the only Dawgs to score in double digits. Senior Montre’ Williams contributed eight points while Devante Robinson Malyk Thomas and Elafayette Stone each contributed two points on the night.
