The Knights of Columbus at Holy Family Catholic Church ensured that more than 100 children in need of a winter coat would stay warm this winter. “The recent cold weather has increased the need for jackets and caught many of the students unprepared. I thing they have been lulled into the false sense of this is Texas and it doesn’t get cold,” Communities In School representative Stacy Bradley said. “We help between 50-100 families at each campus. Each family has individual needs and we help them where we can.” Collecting jackets over the last three weeks, the parish donated bags of jackets in all sizes to the Communities In School program at Copperas Cove Junior High School, who distributed them Saturday morning.
