High school students who hope to fill Texas’ classroom teacher shortage in the future will converge on the Baylor School of Education on Tuesday. The Copperas Cove Chapter of the Texas Association of Future Educators, a co-curricular organization that gives students the opportunity to explore education and training professions, serves as the vice president on the regional board. The chapter will host the organization’s annual Region 12 conference on Tuesday, Nov. 18, and will be in charge of all competitions. Schools attending this year are Copperas Cove, Belton, Robinson, Killeen Career Center, Harker Heights and Marlin, said Theresa Morgan, CCHS TAFE Adviser.
