Perez ranked 9th in nation, 4th in state

Cove senior Lexi Perez has been solid all year on the back row defense for the Lady Dawgs. So much so, her efforts have landed her on the Max Preps National Top 10 leader board and fourth in Texas with 935 digs. “It’s nice, but I don’t really think about it that much because I don’t want it to get to my head and throw me off my game,” said Perez. “Anyone can do that, they just have to dig everything they can and that’s what I try to do.” The senior libero is all over the court keeping points alive for the Lady Dawgs, which allows the offense more opportunities to score and frustrates opposing offenses.
