Young Entrepreneurs to set up shop for OSCAR’s Market in downtown Copperas Cove
Special to the Leader-Press
The Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce invites the community to the Taste of Cove Food Truck Park on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The park is located at 105 E. Avenue E.
The outdoor market-style event will feature six groups of young entrepreneurs who will showcase and sell their products to the public.
Their business acumen will also be judged, providing them with valuable feedback, and offering a chance to earn scholarships to further support their entrepreneurial dreams. The top two will receive space at the upcoming Krist Kindl Markt in December.
“OSCAR’s Market is about more than just teaching young people how to run a business,” said Michelle O’Sullivan, Board of Director of the Copperas Cove Chamber of Commerce. “It’s about empowering the next generation to take initiative, think creatively, and gain real-world experience that will serve them well in any career they pursue.”
Prior to Saturday’s event, the young people have had the opportunity to attend a comprehensive workshop series that provides aspiring them with essential training.
Participants learned key aspects of entrepreneurship, including marketing strategies, product development, and pitching techniques.
Through a combination of expert-led sessions and hands-on experience, participants developed the skills necessary to turn their ideas into real-world businesses.
