Woman found dead in Ogletree Gap Park

A 46-year-old female was found dead in Ogletree Gap Park on Tuesday evening in Copperas Cove.
Copperas Cove police issued a press release on Wednesday morning, stating that officers responded around 8:07 p.m. to 1878 Post Office road, for a call about an unresponsive female lying under a tree.
Coryell County Justice of the Peace F.W. “Bill” Price pronounced the victim deceased and the body was transported to the Southwest Institute of Forensic Science.
Lt. Krystal Baker stated in the press release that the department’s Criminal Investigations Division responded and is investigating, and that further information will be released upon next of kin notification and as it becomes available.
Baker told the Leader-Press that there were no obvious signs of foul play and the autopsy is still pending.
