Texas Rangers investigating Copperas Cove officer-involved shooting

A Copperas Cove police officer was involved in a shooting on Sunday afternoon.
According to a press release from the Copperas Cove Police, officers responded to the 1500 block of Robertson Avenue at approximately 12:43 p.m. after receiving multiple calls from residents regarding a shooting.
The officer was not injured during the incident, but a female driver was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
The name of the officer nor the female driver were not released.
Copperas Cove police blocked off Robertson Avenue from Houston Street to Williams Street, while officials investigated.
The Texas Rangers are conducting the investigation into the incident, said Copperas Cove pollice Lt. Kevin Miller.
