Texas legislature looking at handgun bills

On Monday, Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick referred two handgun bills to the Senate State Affairs Committee that if passed, will have an impact on Texas gun owners. Senate Bill 342 (SB 342), authored by Sen. Don Huffines of State District 16, relates to providing for the open and concealed carrying of handguns without a license and to related offenses and penalties.
